The new Coaches Poll is out and the ACC still has three teams ranked in the Top 25 after Week 3:

Florida St – 7th (-1)
Clemson – 10th (-1)
Georgia Tech – 20th (-4)

All three of these teams moved backwards in the Coaches Poll this week.  It seems like the voters weren’t impressed with Florida St.’s 14-0 victory over Boston College, nor were they impressed with Clemson’s 20-17 victory over Louisville.  Georgia Tech lost 30-22 to #10 Notre Dame and fell back 4 spots  The Fighting Irish is now ranked 8th.

NC State gained 2 more votes this week, receiving 15 votes after defeating Old Dominion 38-14.  Despite the extra votes, the Wolfpack slid back one spot to #36.

The Wolfpack were one of 4 ACC schools that received votes in this weeks Coaches Poll, but failed to make the Top 25.

Miami – 58 votes – 28th
NC State – 15 votes – 36th
Virginia Tech – 4 votes – 42nd
Boston College – 1 vote – 46th

Miami defeated Nebraska 36-33 in overtime, and picked up 45 more votes.  Virginia Tech didn’t receive any votes last week, but after defeating Purdue 51-24, they picked up 4 votes this week.  For the first time this season, Boston College received 1 vote in the Coaches Poll, after a hard fought 14-0 loss to Florida St.

Duke received 32 (31st) votes last week, but failed to pick any up this week after losing 19-10 to #23 Northwestern.  The Wildcats are now ranked 19th.  Pitt received 2 votes (47th) last week, but failed to pick up any this week after losing to Iowa 27-24.
