Former 5-star Tight End Chris Clark wanted to transfer back closer to home (Avon, Connecticut), and UCLA has granted him his release.  According to Scout’s Brian Dohn, Clark will be taking an official visit to NC State on October 31st when the Wolpack battle the Clemson Tigers.  Clark was the #1 Tight End in the 2015 recruiting class.  Back in 2014, Clark committed to both UNC and Michigan before ultimately committing to UCLA.  UCLA has blocked Clark’s ability to transfer to Michigan.

“It did not take long for schools to flock to former 5-star Tight End Chris Clark after receiving his release from UCLA.  As he searches for a Transfer, he told Scout that he will visit Pittsburgh officially October 10th, October 17th he will officially visit Virginia, and on October 31st he will officially visit North Carolina State.  Clark left UCLA wanting to get closer to home, and those schools definitely fit that bill.  He could set a couple of other official visits.  This means he will not be enrolled in a school in the Fall, but will look to enroll in one in January.  He already played a game with UCLA this season, but it will be up to the NCAA to decide whether he has to sit out the 2016 season, or whether he can just sit out the first couple of weeks of it, and then pick it up from there.”  (Scout)
