Five ACC Scholar Athletes from the ACC were named semifinalists for the Campbell Trophy today, and NC State’s Joe Thuney was one of the 5 that made the cut.  The Campbell Award is given to the nation’s top scholar-athlete annually by the National Football Foundation.

Here are the 5 ACC semifinalists:

OL – Joe Thuney – NC State
PK – Ross Martin – Duke
P – Riley Dixon – Syracuse
PK – Ian Frye – UVA
LB – Hunter Williams – Wake Forest

Fifty-Six semifinalist from the FBS were selected.  The National Football Foundation will announce 15 finalists on October 29th.  The winner will be announced on December 8th.
