Here is a breakdown of how the 2016 and 2017 NC State commits did in the 6th week of high school football:

2016

TE Bryce Dixon – Dixon had 4 catches for 87 yards on offense and 21 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 2 sacks on defense in Green Hope’s 36-26 lost to Fuquay-Varina.

LB Garrett Hooker – Hooker only played one quarter and had 11 tackles and 1 fumble recovery in Ledford’s 54-7 victory over Western Guilford.  Ledford is now 5-1.

QB Dylan Parham – Parham was 12 of 24 for 247 yards with two touchdowns (89 & 40 yards) in Southeast Raleigh’s 15-14 loss to West Johnston.  Southeast Raleigh is now 2-4.

LB Brock Miller – Miller pretty much only played in the first half, and had 9 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 1 sack in John Carroll Catholic’s 52-14 victory over Father Lopez.  John Carroll Catholic is now 2-2.

WR DaeShawn Stephens – Stephens had 2 receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown as Hillside crushed East Chapel Hill 54-0.  Hillside is 3-2.

S Tim Glass – Glass had 4 tackles and 1 touchdown in George Washington’s 42-0 victory over Franklin County.  George Washington is 3-1.

OL Kollin Byers – Crest improved to 5-0, defeating Rutherfordton-Spindale 42-14.

OL Joe Sculthorpe – Topsail lost their third straight game, falling to Laney 34-0.  Topsail is now 3-3.

OL Harrison Gee – Williams also lost their third straight game, losing to Eastern Alamance 42-7.

OL Bryce Folsom – Chattahoochee lost to South Forsyth 40-9, and is now 0-5 on the year.

OL  Justin Witt – Lincoln-Way West picked up their first loss of the season, losing to Thornton 35-28.  They are now 4-1.

2017

CB Chris Ingram – Ingram had 1 interception and 3 tackles in Mooresville’s 38-25 win over Statesville.  Mooresville is now 3-2.

3-Star 2025 CB Jayden Shipps has Locked In His Official Visit to NC State

I confirmed with 3-Star 2025 Cornerback Jayden Shipps (6’1″/180) that he will be taking an Official Visit to NC State on June 7-9.

Shipps also took an unofficial visit to Raleigh on March 22nd.

The Wolfpack offered a scholarship to Shipps on October 4th, and he also holds offers from Wisconsin, Tennessee, Michigan St., Syracuse, Duke, Pitt, South Carolina, West Virginia, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Maryland, Wake Forest and others

ON3 ranks Shipps as the #21 overall player in the state of Maryland in the 2025 recruiting class. Shipps had 24 tackles and 1 interception for Archbishop Spalding (Servern, MD) this past season.

3-Star LB Jaiden Braker Locks In Official Visit to NC State

3-Star 2025 Linebacker Jaiden Braker (6’4″/210) has locked in his Official Visit to NC State for June 19-21.

The Wolfpack offered Braker on April 2nd, and he also holds offers from Utah, South Carolina, SMU, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Cal, Cincinnati, Indiana, BYU, Liberty and others.

Last year, Braker had 48 tackles and 4 tackles for loss for South Gwinnett (Snellville, GA)

Top-30 Prospect WR Aaron Gregory Visited NC State Today

2026 4-Star Wide Receiver Aaron Gregory (6’2″/170) took an unofficial visit to NC State today.

He was visiting with his Douglas County teammate Jordan Carter.

Gregory is a Top-30 overall prospect nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, with Rivals ranking him 20th. ON3 and 247Sports both rank him as the #2 Wide Receiver in the class, and 247Sports ranks him as the #2 player in the state of Georgia.

He holds offers from NC State, Georgia, Alabama, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, UNC, Auburn, FSU, Duke, Tennessee, Ohio St., LSU, Miami, USC, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Mississippi St., Florida, Texas, Texas A&M, Colorado, Arkansas, Boston College, Penn St., Ole Miss, West Virginia, SMU, Oregon, Oklahoma, Indiana, Pitt, Cal, Louisville, Michigan, Notre Dame and others.

This past season, Gregory had 41 receptions for 795 yards and 8 touchdowns for Douglas County.

4-Star 2026 Defensive End Jordan Carter (6’3″/235) took an unofficial visit to NC State today.

Carter holds offers from NC State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, West Virginia, SMU, UCF, Georgia Tech, USC, Tennessee, South Carolina, LSU, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and others.

Rivals ranks him as the #10 overall player nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, and the #2 Defensive End. ON3 ranks him as the #1 player in the state of Georgia.

This past season at Douglas County, Carter had 84 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 15 sacks.
