ESPN grades Dennis Smith Jr. a B- for his ‘Rising Stars’ performance (w/ highlights)
Dennis Smith Jr. played in the ‘Rising Stars’ Rookie/Sophomore game last night as part of NBA’s All-Star weekend.
Smith Jr finished with 7 points, 6 assists and 4 boards in the game, but ESPN seemed to not be impressed, giving him a B- for his performance.
Here is how they justified their grade.
Like Mitchell, Smith was more focused on setting up teammates with alley-oops than scoring himself. He also struggled from 3-point range and missed an attempted 360 dunk in the final seconds as he warmed up for the dunk contest. But Smith did hand out six assists. (ESPN)
