NC State Junior Forward Kia Rankin was named the Week 2 ACC Offensive Player of the Week today.

Rankin totaled five points on two goals and an assist in the Wolfpack’s 1-0-1 week, highlighted by a 2-1 win over No. 10 South Carolina. Rankin factored in both NC State goals in the upset win on Sunday. She found teammate Tziarra King at the 49:17 mark for the first goal of the game before scoring what turned out to be the game winner in the 63rd minute. Rankin also found the back of the net in a 1-1 draw against ECU in her first game since returning from an injury. (ACC)

After missing the first two game of the season due to injury, Ranking made a big splash in week 2 against ECU and #10 South Carolina. This is the first ACC Player of the Week honor of her career. In 2016, Rankin was on the All-ACC Freshman Team.
