Former NC State ACC Player of the Year TJ Warren returned to the starting lineup on Thursday night, and he quickly reminded the Suns why he belongs in that role.

Warren scored a season-high 29 points, and grabbed 7 rebounds. TJ made 9 of his 17 field goal attempts, and was 3 of 4 from deep.

After starting 124 of the 131 games he’s played in the past 2 seasons, Warren started this season coming off of the bench (has started 3 games). This coming after starting every game he played in last season, averaging 19.6 points per game.

Phoenix Head Coach Igor Kokoskov hasn’t officially given the starting job back to Warren, stating that Warren and Ryan Anderson will rotate as starters depending on the matchup.

Maybe it’s the dreads, but Warren’s accuracy from three to start the season could be what solidifies him as a starter in Phoenix. Through 10 games, he is shooting 50% from three-Point land (15-30).
