Torin Dorn Participates in Agent Pro Day in Phoenix

Published

Former NC State Forward Torin Dorn worked out at an Agent Pro Day in Phoenix today in front of NBA Scouts and executives, along with two other former Wolfpacker’s: Cody and Caleb Martin (Transferred to Nevada).

Dorn impressed at the Portsmouth Invitational a month ago.

I would be shocked to see Dorn drafted, but workouts like these could help him get an invite to the NBA Summer League or get a G-League contract.

Dorn has always defied the odds, as he so perfectly laid out in the tweet below accompanied by a highlight reel.

Josh Jones Wants Packers to Trade Him

Published

on

Former NC State Safety Josh Jones wants to be traded from the Packers according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

According to Demovsky, Jones is skipping voluntary OTA’s, and working out on his own in Florida.

I’m guessing Jones didn’t appreciate Green Bay drafting Safety Darnell Savage in the 1st Round a month ago, with the 21st overall pick.

Obviously Jones would like to be traded to a team where he can start, but there are plenty of other Safeties on the market.

Jones was drafted by the Packers with the 61st overall pick, in the 2nd Round of the 2017 NFL Draft, after leaving NC State after his Junior year.

Arizona Cardinals give Adrian Wilson a Promotion

Published

on

Former NC State Safety Adrian Wilson has received a promotion in the Arizona Cardinals organization.

For the past 4 years, Wilson has served as a pro/college scout, but recently was promoted to Director of Pro Scouting.

After playing three seasons at NC State, Wilson was drafted in the third round by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2001 NFL draft

Wilson played 12 seasons for the Cardinals, and is in their Ring of Honor, and was on the Hall of Fame ballot last year for the first time, and I made the case last year that he deserves to join the club one day.

Former All-ACC NC State Offensive Lineman Tony Adams has signed with the Miami Dolphins.

After going undrafted last year, Adams signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, Adams failed his physical, and was released. Near the end of this past season, the Patriots signed Adams to their practice squad for 5 games, including 3 playoff games.

Before it dissolved, Adams was playing for the Atlanta Legends in the AAF.

Adams earned the 5th highest grade of any Offensive Guard in the nation his Senior season at NC State, according to ProFootballFocus.
