Former NC State Baseball Tyler McDonough Hits for Cycle in Minor Leagues

Former NC State Baseball All-American Tyler McDonough hit for the cycle in the Greenville Drivel’s 10-3 victory over Bowling Green Hot Rods.

McDonough also picked up 3 runs and 2 RBI’s in completing only the 2nd cycle in Greenville Drive history. The Boston Red Sox drafted McDonough in the 3rd round of the 2021 MLB Draft.

As of today, McDonough bats second for the Drive, and is batting .241, with 9 home runs, 57 runs, 46 RBI’s, and 19 stolen bases in 100 games in his first full season in Single-A.
