NC State Nickelback Darius Edmundson to Enter Transfer Portal

NC State Nickelback Darius Edmundson announced today that he will be entering the Transfer Portal. Edmundson has 1 year of eligibility remaining.

Edmundson is a JUCO transfer from Louisburg College

Edmundson saw action in 3 games this season, but he only totaled 7 snaps, with 1 tackle against VMI. Edmundson has been the 2nd string Nickelback all season long, but he is stuck behind Robert Kennedy III, who has played more snaps than anyone else on the Wolfpack defense in 2023. In 2022, Edmundson didn’t see any Defensive snaps, but did see action on Special Teams in three games.

When Edmundson committed to NC State, he was a Top-10 JUCO prospect, and the #2 Safety.

Redshirt Junior Cecil Powell is now the 2nd string Nickelback for the Wolfpack.
