The NC State Men’s Soccer team defeated #4 seed Georgetown 2-0 in an Away game in Washington D.C., advancing to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1994. It’s worth noting, that in 1994, there were only 32 teams in the NCAA Tournament (now there’s 48), and the Wolfpack only had to win one game to make it to the Sweet 16.

This is NC State’s 17th appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack have advanced to the 2nd round 8 times, the Sweet 16 5 times, the Elite Eight 3 times, and the Final Four 1 time.

The Wolfpack is now 10-4-5 on the year, winning 10 games for the first time since 2018.

NC State will play at #13 seed Marshall in the Sweet 16. The Thundering Herd defeated Furman 4-0 today to advance.

The first year under Head Coach Marc Hubbard has been nothing short of exciting.
