Tennessee Defensive End Transfer Jayson Jenkins is Scheduled to Visit NC State

Tennessee Defensive End Transfer Jayson Jenkins (6’6″/281) is set to take an Official Visit to NC State on January 4th.

He also has visits lined up to FSU, Texas Tech and UNC.

Jenkins was a Redshirt Sophomore this season, seeing action in all 13 tames. He played in 214 snaps as a reserve, tallying 9 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and 1 forced fumble. His PFF grade was a solid 75.5.

In 2023, as a Redshirt Freshman, Jenkins saw action in 6 games as a reserve, collecting 4 tackles and 1 tackle for loss in 55 snaps.

247Sports ranks Jenkins as a 3-Star prospect in the Transfer Portal, the #120 overall prospect and the #15 EDGE.

Coming out of Notre Dame High School (Trenton, NJ), Jenkins was a 3-star prospect in the Volunteers 2022 recruiting class, with Rivals ranking him as the #17 player in the state of New Jersey.
