5-Star Point Guard Deron Rippey Jr. is Includes NC State in His Top-5

5-Star 2026 Point Guard Deron Rippey Jr. released his Top-5 schools today, and NC State made the cut along with Tennessee, Duke, Miami and Texas.

Rippey took an Official Visit to NC State beginning on November 6th, which was his last Official Visit. He took Official Visits to the rest of the teams in his Top-5, as well as Kentucky and UNC.

Rivals ranks Rippey Jr. as the #5 overall player nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, the #2 Point Guard and the #1 player in the state of New Jersey.

The Wolfpack offered Rippey Jr. on June 17th.

Last year, he led Blair Academy to a 24-4 record, averaging 16.2 points, 5.3 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game. Rippey Jr. was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in New Jersey as a Junior.
