4-Star Safety Cortez Redding is Planning an Official Visit to NC State

4-Star 2026 safety Cortez Redding (6’0″/170) is planning to take an Official Visit to NC State on June 6-8. He also has an Official Visit scheduled with Miami for May 30 – June 1.

Redding is a consensus 4-star recruit. ON3 ranks him as the #135 overall prospect nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, the #13 safety, and the #17 player in the state of Georgia.

NC State offered him on May 6th of last year, and he also holds offers from Georgia Tech, Auburn, Oregon, Ole Miss, Miami, USC, LSU, Texas A&M, Penn State, Tennessee, FSU, Maryland, Arizona State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Arkansas, SMU, Mississippi State, Duke, UNC, Nebraska, Kentucky, Michigan, Pitt, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Florida, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Missouri, and others.

Redding attended NC State’s second Junior Day event on the first Saturday of the month.

This past fall, Redding recorded 118 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions, and 10 pass breakups for Jonesboro (Jonesboro, GA).
