NC State Guard Marcus Hill is entering the Transfer Portal.

Technically speaking, Hill is out of eligibility, but due to an ongoing lawsuit with the NCAA, all former JUCO players whose eligibility expired this athletic year have been granted an additional year for next season.

After the Wolfpack’s victory over Pitt on March 6th, Hill spoke with the media and expressed his intent to use the additional year of eligibility at NC State.

Hill was NC State’s leading scorer this season, averaging 11.6 points per game. He shot 45.3% from the field and averaged 3.9 rebounds.

This past offseason, Hill transferred to NC State from Bowling Green, where he earned 1st Team All-MAC honors, averaging 20.5 points per game in 2023-24. He spent his first two years in the JUCO ranks at Southern Union State College. In 2022-23, Hill earned 3rd Team NJCAA All-American honors and was ranked as the #32 overall Junior College prospect in the nation.

Since the Transfer Portal opened on Monday, six Wolfpack players have entered: Forward Ben Middlebrooks and Guards Mike JamesDennis Parker Jr., Bryce Heard and Marcus Hill.
