According to a source, NC State has reached out to Georgia Guard Silas Demary Jr. (6’5″/180), who entered the Transfer Portal yesterday.

Demary Jr. just wrapped up his sophomore season with the Bulldogs, averaging 13.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.7 steals. He ranked second on the team in scoring, third in rebounding, and led the Bulldogs in assists and steals. Demary Jr. started all 33 games this season.

While Demary Jr. didn’t shoot extremely well from the field this year, with only 39.6% of his shots made, his three-point shooting was impressive, making 37.4% from beyond the arc.

In the 2023-24 season, he earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team, averaging 9.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.4 steals.

Demary Jr. is a Raleigh native who played his first two years of high school ball at Millbrook. As a junior, he transferred to Charlotte to play for Liberty Heights, before returning to Raleigh to play for Combine Academy in his senior year.

Back in 2022, Demary Jr. took an official visit to NC State, and many top national recruiting analysts predicted that he would commit to running with the Wolfpack. To the shock of many, Demary Jr. verbally committed to USC on October 7th. Eventually, he decommitted from the Trojans on April 15th, 2023, and committed to Georgia on April 24th.

Demary Jr. has 2 years of eligibility remaining.
