NC State Makes Top-6 for 3-Star Lyrik Pettis

NC State has made the top six for 3-star recruit Lyrik Pettis (6’1″/175), alongside Wake Forest, Duke, UNC, Rice, and Sam Houston.

Pettis is scheduled to take an official visit to NC State from June 6-8, and he has also planned a visit to Duke from June 13-15.

247Sports and ON3 both rate Pettis as a 3-star prospect, with the former ranking him as the #28 overall player in the state of North Carolina for the 2026 recruiting class.

Last fall at Crest High School (Shelby, NC), he recorded 76 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, and 5 pass breakups
