#3 seed NC State (12-2-4) fell to Syracuse (9-6-3) 3-0 in the Quarterfinals of the 2025 ACC Tournament last night. For the first time this season, the Wolfpack gave up more than 1 goal in a game. Ironically, the last time NC State gave up 3 or more goals was against the Orange in the 1st round of the 2023 conference tournament.

Yesterday’s loss was only the 2nd of the season for the Wolfpack.

It was a frustrating loss for NC State, considering the fact they dominated possession. The Wolfpack had 8 more shots, and 3 more corner kicks.

Some of the saves by Syracuse Goalkeeper Thomas Hut and other Orange defenders made defied all odds.

The 5th ranked NC State will now wait to see where they are seeded in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
