Initial NC State vs. #16 Miami Availability Report

The initial Availability Report is out for NC State’s matchup against #16 Miami this Saturday.

Redshirt Sophomore Running Back Hollywood Smothers and Senior Tight End Justin Joly are both listed as Questionable again, but CBS Sports is reporting that they are expected to play against the Hurricanes.

Redshirt Senior Linebacker Tra Thomas will miss the first half of the game this Saturday, due to a targeting penalty against the Yellow Jackets.

True Freshman Right Guard Spike Sowells Jr. was listed as Out leading up to the Georgia Tech game and did not play. This week, he is listed as Questionable. He started three consecutive games prior to missing the matchups against Notre Dame and Georgia Tech.

Redshirt Freshman Running Back Isiah Jones is listed as Out. He hasn’t played in a game all season.
Everyone else listed as Out on the Availability Report was previously listed as Out before the Wolfpack’s last game.

Redshirt Freshman Safety Ronnie Royal III was listed as Questionable before the Georgia Tech game but didn’t play. He is listed as Questionable once again.

Redshirt Senior Safety JJ Johnson was listed as Questionable prior to the Wolfpack’s game against the Yellow Jackets but didn’t play. He is not on the Availability Report this week, which means he should be good to go against Miami.

Redshirt Senior Offensive Guard Anthony Carter Jr. wasn’t listed on the Availability Report prior to Georgia Tech but did not play. He is listed as Questionable this week.

True Freshman Defensive End Adrain Farrow and Redshirt Sophomore Offensive Lineman Rico Jackson weren’t on the Availability Report prior to NC State’s last game but are listed as Questionable this week. Farrow played two snaps on defense and eight snaps on special teams against the Yellow Jackets. Jackson started the past two games at Right Guard, serving as the next man up.
