NC State vs. Miami: A Historical Perspective

NC State will play #16 Miami on the road this afternoon at 3:30pm on ESPN, marking the 19th time the two teams have faced one another in a series that dates back to 1939. Heading into today’s contest, the Hurricanes hold an 11-6-1 edge in the series.

Since Miami joined the ACC in 2004, NC State is 3-4 against the Hurricanes. Dave Doeren is 1-3 against Miami.

The Wolfpack is 4-6-1 against the Hurricanes in Miami.

Four of the last seven games between these two teams have been decided by seven points or fewer.

NC State’s Top Team & Individual Performances vs. Miami

In 2012, NC State racked up 664 yards against Miami, which is the most yards ever produced by the Wolfpack in a single game. Mike Glennon threw for 440 yards in that matchup, the eighth-most passing yards in a single game in program history.

In 2004, the Wolfpack had both a running back and a wide receiver produce 100+ yards, with T.A. McLendon rushing for 145 yards and Richard Washington totaling 111 receiving yards.
