As of Late, NC State has had Florida St.’s Number

NC State defeated Florida State 21-11 this evening, securing the Wolfpack’s 4th straight victory over the Seminoles.

There was a day and age when that would have seemed impossible.

After the Seminoles joined the ACC in 1992, they beat the Pack in 6 straight games, and 8 of the first 9.

When Chuck Amato, a former Assistant Coach at FSU, took the reins as Head Coach for the Wolfpack, the tides turned for a time. Amato was 4-3 against the Noles in his 7 seasons as the Head Coach.

After Tom O’Brien followed that up with a 2-4 record against the boys from Tallahassee, Doeren has corrected things once again, going 6-5 against FSU.

The Wolfpack now holds a 17-27 overall record against the Noles, but they’ve won 6 of the last 7.

Over NC State’s current 4-game winning streak, they have won by an average of 13 points.
