#15 seed NC State is heading to the Elite 8 of the 2025 NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament after defeating UNCG 2-0 last night in the Sweet 16.

This will be the Wolfpack’s 4th trip to the Elite 8, and the first since 1992!

Senior Taig Healy got things started with a goal at the 5:22 mark, which was his 2nd goal of the season.

Junior Donavan Phillip sealed the deal at the 78:22 mark with his 17th goal of the season.

Phillip’s 17 goals on the year is tied for the 7th most goals scored in a single season in school history, and the most since Roy Lassiter scored 18 in 1991.

The Wolfpack has now won 14 games on the year (14-2-4), which is the most wins since 1994 (14-7-0).

NC State will play #7 seed Georgetown on Friday night in Washington D.C., at 6pm. The Wolfpack is 3-0 all-time against the Hoyas.
