NC State WR Jimmar Boston Entering the Transfer Portal

NC State Redshirt Freshman Wide Receiver Jimmar Boston will be entering the Transfer Portal.

Boston played 9 snaps against Stanford as a True Freshman in 2024. This year, Tank saw action in 3 games, totaling 23 snaps.

ESPN rated Boston as a 4-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, ranking him as the #296 overall player nationally, and the #6 player in the state of South Carolina.

Ultimately, Boston chose to commit to NC State over Virginia Tech back in September of 2023.

Boston is the 7th NC State player to enter the Transfer Portal, joining Linebacker Elijah Groves, Wide Receiver Christian Zachary, Running Back Hollywood Smothers, Defensive End Justin Terrell, Defensive End Josh Alexander-Felton and Offensive Lineman Val Erickson.

The Portal officially opens on January 2nd.
