Will Wade, the NC State team and a bunch of past Wolfpack greats were spotted at the John Wall Invitational in Raleigh last night to check out two of 2027’s top players.

One of them was CJ Rosser, who they offered in June. He’s a 5-star power forward who some believe is the best player in the class.

Rosser holds offers from Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, TCU, USC, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, UNC, Miami, Syracuse, Alabama, Mississippi St., Arkansas, Texas, Kansas and others.

The other was King Gibson who NC State offered in early June after an unofficial visit to Raleigh.

ON3 ranks Gibson as the #4 overall prospect, the #1 Point Guard and the #1 overall player in the state of Florida. He plays for Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida. As a Freshman, Gibson played for The Burlington School in North Carolina.

Gibson holds offers from Wake Forest, Texas A&M, Penn St., Cincinnati, Georgia, South Carolina, West Virginia, Notre Dame, Mississippi St., LSU, Virginia Tech, Michigan, FSU and others.

The interesting thing with Gibson is that some believe NC State wants him to reclassify and join the team next season (2026) as first reported by ScoutHoops.com.

NC State was well represented at the tournament with Wade, most of the NC State team, TJ Warren and Chris Corchiani all in attendance. Oh, and Justin Gainey was there (but he was representing Tennessee).
