NC State is set to host one of the premier prospects in the 2027 recruiting class next week.

According to reports, 5-star guard/forward Ryan Hampton (6-foot-6, 190 pounds) will take an official visit to Raleigh next Monday. It will be the first official visit on his schedule.

Hampton also has official visits lined up with Ole Miss, SMU, and Nebraska.

Will Wade extended an offer to Hampton last summer on June 15, and the Wolfpack staff has obviously remained involved.

Elite National Prospect

Rivals ranks Hampton as:

• No. 3 overall player nationally in the 2027 class
• No. 1 shooting guard
• No. 3 player in the state of Florida

At 6-foot-6 with versatility to play on the wing or slide into a combo-forward role, Hampton brings length, scoring ability, and high-end athleticism that has made him a national priority target.

Offer List

Beyond the schools he is officially visiting, Hampton holds offers from a national lineup that includes:

LSU, Auburn, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Texas, TCU, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Louisville, Baylor, Indiana, Kansas, Villanova, Virginia Tech, Memphis, USC, and others.

Landing the first official visit is significant. Now the question becomes whether NC State can turn early momentum into something bigger.
