NC State standout sophomore guard Zam Jones announced today that she will be transferring to Louisville after taking a visit this past weekend.

That’s a tough one, especially when it’s one of your best players staying within the ACC.

Jones made a significant leap in her second season in Raleigh, finishing third in voting for the 2025-26 ACC Most Improved Player award and emerging as one of the Wolfpack’s most reliable and versatile contributors.

She put together an impressive sophomore campaign, averaging:

14.9 points per game (3rd on team)
3.8 assists per game (2nd on team)
3.3 rebounds per game
1.2 steals per game (2nd on team)
36.6% from three-point range (team-high)

After starting just two games as a freshman, Jones took on a much larger role this season, starting 30 of 31 games and becoming a foundational piece in NC State’s backcourt.

A former 5-star prospect and McDonald’s All-American, Jones still has two years of eligibility remaining as she heads to Louisville.
