Howard’s most recent season at Utah was limited. He appeared in just six games before leaving the program to attend to family matters, averaging 1.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in seven minutes per game.
Prior to his time at Utah, Howard spent his freshman season at Auburn, where he showed flashes of efficiency. In 21 games, he averaged 4.2 points in 9.1 minutes per contest while shooting 53.6% from the field and 40.9% from three-point range.
At the transfer level, Rivals currently rates Howard as a 3-star prospect, ranking him as the No. 348 overall player in the portal and the No. 51 small forward.
Coming out of high school, Howard was a highly regarded recruit. Rivals ranked him as the No. 50 overall player nationally in the 2024 class and the No. 17 small forward. He played at Overtime Elite in Atlanta, where he was ranked as the No. 3 overall player in the state.
There is no denying Howard’s freakish athletic ability. He will have two years of eligibility remaining, making him a potential upside play for programs looking to tap into his original recruiting profile.
