In case you missed it, NC State head coach Justin Gainey sounded the siren for the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night.

The Hurricanes went on to win that game 2-0, and followed it up with a dramatic 3-2 double-overtime victory in Game 2, taking a 2-0 series lead.

Gainey continues a recent trend of NC State head coaches being tapped for the siren, joining Will Wade, Kevin Keatts, and Dave Doeren.
