Frankly, it’s surprising he wasn’t selected in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Marshall put together one of the most impressive seasons by a defensive back in the country in 2025. He finished with 50 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 16 pass breakups, the latter leading the nation.
According to PFF, Marshall posted an elite 89.8 overall grade, which was:
The highest grade on NC State’s defense
The top grade among ACC cornerbacks
The 6th-best grade among all FBS cornerbacks
Somehow despite the above, Marshall was robbed a spot on the official All-ACC teams.
Marshall earned 2nd Team All-American honors from The Athletic.
His journey to Raleigh adds another layer to the story.
Marshall began his career at Villanova at the FCS level before transferring to NC State ahead of the 2024 season, quickly establishing himself as one of the top corners in the country.
Now, the Jaguars are taking a shot on a player whose production and performance suggest he could be much more than a typical undrafted addition.
