2027 EDGE Esa Wittingburg Visiting NC State This Weekend

2027 3-Star EDGE Esa Wittingburg (6’3”, 230 pounds) confirmed that he will be taking an official visit to NC State this weekend.

Wittingburg is no stranger to Raleigh, having already taken an unofficial visit at the end of March.

His recruitment continues to gain traction, with official visits also scheduled to Pitt, UVA, Wake Forest, and Northwestern.

NC State extended an offer back on November 19, and he also boasts an impressive list of suitors, including offers from Pitt, Wake Forest, UVA, Northwestern, Syracuse, Boston College, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Duke, and others.

From a rankings standpoint, both Rivals and 247Sports rate him as a 3-star prospect in the 2027 class, with Rivals ranking him as the No. 23 overall player in the state of New Jersey.

On the field, Wittingburg has shown the ability to disrupt plays consistently. This past season, he recorded 11.5 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles for East Orange Campus (NJ).

NC State will look to build on its existing relationship with Wittingburg as it hosts another priority defensive target this weekend.
