After starting the season 3-0-1, the NC State Men’s Soccer team is ranked 24th in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
Since the release of the poll, the Wolfpack have added another win to their resume, defeating Winthrop 7-0 this evening.
This marks the first time that NC State’s Men’s Soccer has been ranked since the 2019 season, which happens to be the last year the Wolfpack finished with a winning record (9-7-3).
Marc Hubbard is the new Head Coach for the Wolfpack this season, and thus far, his prior coaching success is translating to success in Raleigh. Hubbard spent the past 9 seasons as the Head Coach at New Hampshire, posting a 115-32-21 record, accompanied by 7 NCAA Tournament appearances and 4 American East Tournament Championships. Last year he led the Wildcats to the Sweet 16. In 2021, he led New Hampshire all the way to #4 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll on October 16th.
In all 15 of his full seasons of coaching, he has led his teams to 10+ wins every single season.
