This past Friday 5 NC State football commits from the 2016 recruiting class participated in the invite-only Shrine Bowl Combine: Harrison Gee, Bryce Dixon, Garrett Hooker, Dylan Parham, and Joe Sculthorpe.

We caught up with 4 of them over the weekend to get their take on the experience.

QB – Dylan Parham

It was good.  I thought I had a solid day.

I learned that there is definitely a lot of in-state talent, both offensively and defensively.

I also learned that practicing with the best players in the state was able to give me a little bit of an idea of the next level.

Some of my goals are just to continue to work on my anticipation and timing with certain throws.

OL – Harrison Gee

It was good.  All of the Pack 16 guys did really well from what I understand.

I actually got to line up beside Joe Sculthorpe with Dylan parham at QB, which was a moment that really stood out to me.

I’d say I learned that the state of NC is filled with talent, and it was a good experience to be able to compete against that talent.

My goal is obviously to make the team, but I also want to continue getting better everyday and growing from the instruction that I received at the combine.

TE – Bryce Dixon

It was good.  I really enjoyed my time down there.

I’ve learned I have to be more physical at the top of my routes. My goals are to be a threat and draw double teams to free up other teammates.

LB – Garrett Hooker

It was good.  All the Pack guys really showed out.

It was diffrent going against a all D1 line, but it was a lot more fun. It was challenging, but we didn’t really learn anything.  We just did drills to see what we could do.
