The long rest had no ill effects on former Wolfpack pitcher Carlos Rodon.  In an effort to keep a close watch on his workload in his rookie season, the White Sox had not put Rodon on the mound since September 8th.  After a long break, Rodon stepped on the mound and pitched 7.2 innings, and only gave up one run to the Indians last night, and struck out four.  Rodon picked up his 8th win of the season, and lowered his ERA to 3.78, when it used to sit above 5.00 at the beginning of August.

He has pitched 7 straight Quality Starts, and over that span he has arguably been one of the best pitcher in the Majors.  Over that stretch, his ERA has been 1.66, which is the lowest of any American League pitcher.  He has also struck out 45 batters and held them to a .191 batting average over that span.
