Former NC State All-ACC guard Terquavion Smith continues to prove one thing wherever he plays.

He’s a straight bucket.

After spending his first two professional seasons in the NBA G League, Smith has taken his scoring talents overseas and has become one of the most prolific scorers in international basketball.

His latest season in China may have been the best basketball of his professional career.

Dominating the Chinese Basketball Association

Smith put together an outstanding 2025-26 season in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), earning several of the league’s highest individual honors.

2025-26 CBA Honors

International Player of the Year
Guard of the Year
All-CBA First Team

2025-26 Statistics

24.4 points per game
6.0 rebounds per game
5.7 assists per game
1.3 steals per game
44.1% shooting from the field
38.4% shooting from three-point range

Smith’s ability to score from all three levels while also creating opportunities for teammates made him one of the most complete guards in the league.

Success Around the World

Before his breakout season in China, Smith spent the previous year playing professionally in three different countries.

During stops in China, Turkey, and Canada, he averaged:

21.4 points per game
4.8 rebounds per game
5.3 assists per game
1.3 steals per game

No matter the league or country, Smith has continued to showcase the scoring ability that made him one of college basketball’s most exciting guards.

Electric Career at NC State

Smith spent just two seasons in Raleigh, but he left as one of the most dynamic scorers in recent program history.

He earned ACC All-Freshman Team honors in 2022 and Second Team All-ACC honors the following season.

In only two seasons, Smith climbed several of NC State’s all-time scoring lists.

NC State Record Book

17.1 career points per game (8th in school history)
187 career three-pointers (8th in school history)
96 three-pointers in 2021-22 (5th in school history for a single season)

Final Thoughts

Terquavion Smith has always been able to score.

He’s simply doing it on a bigger stage now.

After earning International Player of the Year honors in China, the former Wolfpack star continues to establish himself as one of the top American guards playing overseas.

If his recent production is any indication, Smith’s professional career is only gaining momentum.
