The new Coaches Poll is out and the ACC has two teams ranked in the Top 25 after Week 4:

Florida St – 9th (-2)
Clemson – 11th (-1)

The bye week didn’t do any favors for the Seminoles and the Tigers, who both slipped backwards in a week when they didn’t play.

Georgia Tech was ranked 20th last week, but fell out of the rankings this week afte losing to Duke 34-20 in Wallace Wade Stadium.  The Yellow Jackets have lost in back-to-back weeks.

NC State picked up 37 more votes in this week’s poll, for a total of 52, ranking 30th overall, which is 6 spots higher than last week.  The coaches were apparently impressed with the Wolfpack’s 63-13 victory over South Alabama.

The Wolfpack were one of 4 ACC schools that received votes in this weeks Coaches Poll, but failed to make the Top 25.

Miami – 61 votes – 29th
NC State – 52 votes – 30th
Duke – 44 votes – 32nd
Georgia Tech – 6 votes – 39th

Miami had a bye this week, but still managed to pick up more votes.  Duke defeated #20 Georgia Tech 34-20 at home.  They received zero votes in last weeks poll.

Virginia Tech and Boston College both received votes in last weeks poll, but failed to do so this week.  The Hokies lost to East Carolina 35-28 in Greenville, and the Eagles squeaked by Northern Illinois 17-14.
