Sexton trimmed his list to 10 schools back on July 18th, and the Wolfpack made the cut along with Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Kansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma State and Villanova. It’s fairly impressive for NC State to get Sexton’s first official visit, and he plans on taking his second to Kansas at the end of the month.

The Top-10 point man hails from Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Georgia, and plays AAU ball with CP3. Scout ranks Sexton as the #9 player in the entire 2017 class. I believed that getting the commitment of Dennis Smith Jr. Was bigger than Dennis Smith Jr. I knew it could pave the way towards other elite prospects, including an elite point guard like Sexton, to consider the Wolfpack as a serious option.
