NC State Breaks Losing Streak, Beats Syracuse 35-20

NC State needed a win and that’s just what they got, beating The Orange 35-20.

Ryan Finley went for 340yds and a touchdown, while Matt Dayes was dominant, running for 108 yds and 3 TDs.

Syracuse was without their starting QB, and the Pack made fill-in Zach Mahoney pay. The State defense held Mahoney to 190yds passing on a pedestrian 13-24 with a pick.

The Wolfpack is now 5-5 on the season and need to win one of the next two to stay bowl eligible. That might not be so easy with tilts with Miami and UNC on the horizon. is an independently run content site that exclusively covers NC State basketball and football.     I still say we need a coaching change. In 4 years the guy has zero marquee wins. He’s improved recruiting but the results are worse than his predecessor.
