If you want to watch NC State head coach Dave Doeren’s weekly press conference in full form, you can do so here, but if your just looking for the main points, look no further.

  • Good to play a pressure defense and not turn the ball over, allow a sack and rush for over 200 yards.
  • Beat ourselves up on the first two drives of the second half, dropping two third down passes.
  • Really loved the first half on both sides of the ball.
  • Thought we lost their focus on their edge in the third quarter.
  • Defensively had a good rush: 4 sacks, 9 TFL’s, 2 4th down stops, and great interception by Alston.
  • Dakwa Nichols tore the patella tendon in both knees and had surgery.
  • He likes the Tuffy helmets. They planned on wearing it the games they have, but isn’t sure about the future. Thinks it’s unique and a brand no one else has. If they beat Louisville, guarantees they will wear it again the following week.
  • Cornerback Mike Stevens played 33 snaps. He felt great. Made a tackle on first snap. Made a couple of plays, but gave up a deep ball, but he’ll get better. Needed to get out there and play.
  • Runningback Nyheim Hines is fine. Just cramped.
  • The goal for Safety Dexter Wright is to play on special teams Saturday, and if that goes well possibly play Defense. Trainer thought he was close to 100% last week.
  • Wide Reciver Kelvin Harmon is fine. Bruised shoulder. Reiterated the fact he dropped the ball on the play he got hurt.
  • Jerod Fernandez had 14 tackles. Has improved athletically. Consistent. Likes his preparation. It’s very personal to him. He and Coach Huxtable have a great relationship.
