4-star Defensive Lineman Alim McNeil (6’2″/272) has officially signed his letter of intent.

McNeil (Sanderson/Raleigh, NC) was the 18th member of NC State’s 2018 football recruiting class, committing to run with the Wolfpack on November 4th.

On November 4th, McNeil decided he didn’t need to take official visits to Michigan and Virginia Tech.

“The reason I picked State is the atmosphere there is crazy,” McNeill said. “Carter-Finley gets rocking pretty good. I love the coaching staff there. I’ve been visiting there since my freshman year, so I’ve got accustomed to the guys there and most of the players as well.

“The atmosphere is just there, and the education is great. NC State is a great fit.”(Rivals)

247Sports ranks McNeil as the #92 overall player in the 2018 class, the #8 Defensive Tackle in the nation, and the #7 player in the state of North Carolina.

McNeil will be playing in the U.S. Army All-American game on January 8th on NBC.
