Sophomore Wide Receiver Kelvin Harmon became the 1st NC State Receiver to have 1,000 yards receiving in a season since Jerricho Cotchery did it in 2003.

He entered the game with 65 receptions for 993 yards on the season.

He finished the game with 4 receptions for 24 yards.

This marks the 6th time this has happened at NC State, and Harmon became the 4th player in School history to accumulate 1,000 receiving yards in a season.

Torry Holt – 1998 – 1,604
Jerricho Cotchery – 2003 – 1,369
Jerricho Cotchery – 2002 – 1,192
Torry Holt – 1,099 – 1997
Koren Robinson – 2000 – 1,061
Kelvin Harmon – 2017 – 1,017

Harmon is keeping elite company. Cotchery was a 2-time 1st Team All-ACC performer, and the NC State career receptions record holder until Jaylen Samuels broke it today. Holt and Robinson were both All-Americans. All three of them went on to play in the NFL, with an average career length of 10.5 years.

Remember, Harmon is only a Sophomore. He is only the second Sophomore to ever cross the 1,000 hard mark. Holt and Cotchery were both Juniors when they first pulled off the feat.

NC State has something special in Kelvin Harmon.
