The Wolfpack put two more goals in the net in the second half, but it came down to the very end of regulation. Coach Santoro’s Thoughts
Bullets
- NC State gave Princeton their first loss of the season, and were the first team to put the ball through the nets against them so far in 2018.
- The Wolfpack outshot the Tigers 13 to 8, and had 5 shots on goal, compared to Princeton’s 4.
- NC State is off to their best start since 2008.
- The Wolfpack haven’t lost in 11 straight regular season games.
- Junior Tziarra King is tied for the ACC lead in goals (5), and ranks second in points (12). She also leads the ACC in shots, with 30.
- NC State has now defeated two Top-20 teams through the first 6 games of 2018.
I wouldn’t be surprised for the Wolfpack to crack the Top-10 in this weeks poll. NC State’s next match is against George Washington at home this Thursday at 7pm.
