D.J. Funderburk Could ‘Possibly’ Return Tonight

According to Mark Armstrong of ABC11, NC State head coach Kevin Keatts said it’s a possibility Redshirt Junior Forward D.J. Funderburk returns tonight.

DJ Funderburk is a “possibility” to return tonight. Keatts is still mulling the decision.

Redshirt Junior Forward D.J. Funderburk was suspended indefinitely back on September 30th for a violation of team policy. As a result, he was not allowed to practice with the team, or do anything basketball related with the program.

On September 25, Funderburk was involved in a parking incident on campus that is definitely a factor in his suspension, but there are more than likely other factors involved.

Last week Keatts announced that Funderburk had returned to practice with the team, but didn’t have a timeline for his return to game action.

The return of Funderburk will be a huge addition to the team. I believe that he has All-ACC potential.
