2023 Center Braden Pierce Schedules Official Visit to NC State

2023 Center Braden Pierce (7’0″/230) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State on September 17th. Pierece took an Official Visit to East Carolina in November of last year.

Says Utah, Clemson, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Ole Miss, and Nebraska are also involved.

Pierce was originally a part of the 2022 recruiting class, but has decided to play for IMG Academy’s Post-Graduate Team this year. NC State Assistant Coach Levi Watkins was recruiting Pierce while he was an Assistant at Ole Miss, and the Wolfpack extended an offer to him on June 28th. Pierce also took an Unofficial Visit to Raleigh in June, and described his experience to PhenomHoopsReport:

NC STATE: “The intensity of the practice really stood out to me. We were able to get a bunch of work in and get better in only an hour of practice. The staff let me know that they really liked my game and that I would be someone that could really help their program in the next couple of years. I was impressed by the great facilities, the history of the program, and the way the coaches really focused on developing the bigs.” (Phenom)

Pierce also had this to say about NC State to 247Sports:

“Oh man, I really liked it at NC State,” Pierce said. “It was a nice campus, really nice facilities. Seemed like a really nice program to play in. It’s an excellent program that coach Keatts has there. … I liked all the facilities and how nice and new they were. I like the way coach Levi was coaching one-on-one with one of the bigs on one end for pretty much the whole practice.” (247)

Currently, Pierce is an unranked player in the 2023 recruiting class.
