4-Star 2025 Guard/Forward Bryce Heard (6’5″/170) confirmed with me that he will be taking an Official Visit to NC State on June 23-25.
247Sports, ESPN and Rivals all rank Heard as a 4-Star prospect. Rivals ranks him as the #83 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class. 247Sports ranks him as the #15 Combo Guard in the class, and they also rank him as the #1 player in the state of Illinois.
Here recently, ON3 ranked Heard as the #3 Top Performer at the Pangos All-American Camp.
As a Junior this past season at Homewood-Flossmoor (Chicago, Illinois), Heard averaged 19 point, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
NC State offered Heard back on September 22nd last Fall, and he also holds offers from Oklahoma St., Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, Illinois, Georgetown, Arizona St., Oklahoma, St. John’s, Kansas St., USC, Boston College and others.
4-Star 2025 Combo Guard Kaden Magwood (6’3″/170) has released his Final Three, and NC State made the cut along with Ole Miss and Auburn.
Magwood will be announcing his college decision on November 11th. He took an Official Visit to NC State at the end of August, and he has taken Official Visits to the other 2 finalists as well.
247Sports ranks Magwood as the #44 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, the #7 Combo Guard and the #1 player in the state of North Carolina.
Magwood plays for Combine Academy in Charlotte, and plays AAU ball with Team Loaded.
Jernigan is ranked as the #64 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class by ESPN, and the #1 player in the state of North Carolina.
She chose NC State over a Final 3 that included Michigan and Kentucky.
Last season at Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC), Jernigan averaged 19 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting 46% from the field.
Jernigan is NC State’s first verbal commitment in their 2025 recruiting class.
Andrews took an Official Visit to Missouri last week, and he has one scheduled with Arkansas in the middle of October, one with LSU the second week of November and one with Marquette beginning on January 31st of next year.
NC State offered Andrews back on June 15th.
ESPN ranks Andrews as the #15 overall player nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, the #4 Small Forward and the #1 player in the state of Arkansas.
