Former NC State Swimmer Katharine Berkoff won the Gold Medal in the 4×100 Medley Relay today in the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Berkoff didn’t swim in the Finals, but did swim a 58.98 second 100m Backstroke in the Semifinals to help propel the United States to the Finals.

This marks the 2nd medal that Berkoff has won in Paris. Last week, she won the Bronze in the 100m Backstroke, becoming the first former Wolfpack Women’s Swimmer to win a Medal in the Summer Olympics.

Beroff is the 4th former NC State Women’s Swimmer to be an Olympian. She graduated NC State this year with the school record in 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay. Berkoff is a 30x All-American, and a 6x ACC Champion.

Berkoff is 1 of 13 former NC State athletes to win a Medal in the Summer Olympics, and 1 of 5 to win multiple medals.
