3-Star RB Grayson Rigdon decommitted from NC State last night, according to Adam Gorney of Rivals.

I know that Gorney alluded to Cal offering, but in my opinion, I don’t think that was the offer that led him to change his mind.

On November 25th, Rigdon verbally committed to NC State, but Houston swooped in and offered on December 1st.

Rigdon plays for Columbus High School (Columbus, Texas). For context, Houston is roughly an hour drive from Columbus.

Through the first 8 regular season games, he racked up 1,500 total yards of offense and 27 touchdowns for Columbus.

NC State now doesn’t have a guarantee that they will have a Running Back in their 2025 recruiting class. 4-Star Kentrell Rinehart and 3-Star RJ Boyd are both technically verbally committed, but neither of them signed their national letter of intent this week, though it is my understanding there reasons for not doing so were completely different.
