On Sunday, former All-ACC NC State Wide Receiver Jakobi Meyers crossed 1,000 yards receiving in a single season for the first time in his career, in the Raiders’ 20-34 loss to the Chargers. On the day, Meyers finished with 8 receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown.

Meyers finished the 2024 season with 87 receptions for 1,027 yards and 4 touchdowns in 15 games (missing 2 games due to injury).

The former Wolfpack player has been in the league for 6 seasons now, and has already established himself as one of the best undrafted receivers to ever play in the NFL.

On Sunday, he passed legendary Tight End Antonio Gates for the 4th most receptions by an undrafted receiver through their first 90 games.

He is 1 of 11 undrafted receivers to ever have a 1,000 yard season.

Meyers is 1 of only 5 undrafted receivers to have 700+ yards receiving in 5 of their first 6 seasons, joining Antonio Gates, Drew Pearson, Gary Clark and Rob Moore.

Meyers’ 4,308 career receiving yards in the NFL are the 5th most ever by an NC State receiver.

He currently ranks 4th in school history in career NFL receptions.

Meyers’ 168 career receptions at NC State rank 7th in school history. Without Thayer Thomas getting an extra year due to the extra Covid-19 season, Meyers would rank 6th. Meyers’ 1,932 career receiving yards rank 10th (would rank 9th).

Not bad for a former 2-star prospect who came to NC State as a Quarterback, who was formerly committed to Kent State.
