NC State’s 2025 Football Schedule is HERE!

The ACC released NC State’s 2025 Football schedule tonight.

Notes on NC State’s 2025 Football Schedule

• The Wolfpack will play East Carolina, Virginia, Campbell, and Notre Dame in non-conference play.
  • NC State is also currently scheduled to play at ECU in 2028.
  • NC State is scheduled to play at UVA in a non-conference game in 2026.
  • NC State is scheduled to play Notre Dame at home in 2029 and 2035, and in South Bend in 2031 and 2037.
  • NC State is scheduled to host Campbell in 2028.
• For the first time since 1990, NC State will play five in-state teams: UNC, Duke, Wake Forest, ECU, and Campbell.
  • As a reminder, in October 2023, when the ACC revealed their future scheduling model, it was announced that NC State, UNC, Duke, and Wake Forest will all play each other every year from 2024 to 2030.
  • NC State has played Wake Forest every single year since 1910, which is the second-longest streak in college football.
  • NC State has played UNC every year since 1953.
  • NC State will play Duke in three consecutive years for the first time since 2001-2003.
• The Wolfpack has four games on the schedule against teams that are in the Way-Too-Early Top-25 lists.
  • Notre Dame is projected as a Top-5 team in most of these lists and a consensus Top-10 team in all of them.
  • Georgia Tech is projected in the 20s in a couple of these lists.
  • Miami is projected as a consensus Top-25 team, ranked as high as 3rd and as low as in the 20s.
  • I did see UNC ranked in the 20s in one list.
• NC State will play two games on Thursday nights: ECU & Wake Forest (away).
  • This is the Wolfpack’s third consecutive year opening the season on a Thursday night.
• The Wolfpack will play one game on a Friday night: FSU.
  • The last time NC State played a regular-season game on a Friday night was in 2021 at home against UNC.

• ECU, Virginia Tech, UVA, Campbell, Georgia Tech, FSU, and UNC.
  • The last time NC State played ECU in the regular season was in 2022.
  • The last time NC State played Virginia Tech in the regular season was in 2023.
  • The last time NC State played Virginia in the regular season was in 2023.
  • The last time NC State played Georgia Tech in the regular season was in 2024.
  • The last time NC State played FSU in the regular season was in 2022.
• This marks the first time NC State will play Campbell in football.
  • The Camels’ football program was reinstated in 2008 after it was discontinued in 1950. They joined the CAA in 2023.

• Wake Forest, Duke, Notre Dame, Pitt, and Miami.
  • The last time NC State played Notre Dame in the regular season was in 2023.
  • The last time NC State played Pitt in the regular season was in 2020.
  • The last time NC State played Miami in the regular season was in 2023.

Bye Weeks:

• The Wolfpack will have an open week between the Notre Dame and Pitt games, and another one between the Georgia Tech and Miami games.
  • NC State’s second open week will come two weeks after their first.
