Three NC State wrestlers earned All-American honors at the 2025 NCAA Tournament yesterday. The top eight wrestlers at each weight class all earn All-American status.

Redshirt freshman #4 seed Vincent Robinson has been the star for the Wolfpack, advancing to tonight’s championship match. Robinson defeated #8 seed Sheldon Seymour of Lehigh 4-2 in the semifinals, becoming the first 125-pounder in NC State history to make it to the NCAA Championship match. After finishing second at the ACC Championships, Robinson is on the cusp of becoming a national champion in his first year on the mat.

Redshirt sophomore 174-pounder Matty Singleton exceeded expectations at the NCAAs. The #14 seed finished seventh. Singleton defeated #6 seed Brevin Cassella (Binghamton) 5-3, paving a path that ended in the seventh-place match with a 3-1 victory over #7 seed Danny Wask (Navy). Singleton was the only NC State wrestler to win an ACC Championship this year.

In his first year at heavyweight, #7 seed redshirt junior Isaac Trumble defeated his former teammate, #4 seed Owen Trephan (Lehigh), 4-3 to advance to the third-place match. Trumble ultimately lost to #9 seed Cohlton Schultz (Arizona State) 3-5, finishing fourth.

With Robinson wrestling tonight for an NCAA Championship, NC State is currently ranked ninth.
