3-Star ATH KD Cotton Includes NC State in his Top-6

NC State has made the Top-6 for 2026 athlete KD Cotton (5’10″/175), along with ECU, Duke, Kentucky, Miami, and Wake Forest.

Cotton received an offer from the Wolfpack on January 23rd and is scheduled for an official visit to NC State from June 13-15. He also has an official visit lined up with Duke from May 30 to June 1.

This past fall, Cotton recorded 77 tackles, 5 interceptions, and 6 pass breakups for West Charlotte High School (Charlotte, NC). On the offensive side, he carried the ball 28 times for 247 yards and 10 touchdowns, and caught 30 passes for 449 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Both ON3 and Rivals rank Cotton as a 3-star prospect, with ON3 ranking him as the #49 overall player in the state of North Carolina in the 2026 recruiting class.
